design & development

“What is design? It’s where you stand with a foot in two worlds — the world of technology and the world of people and human purposes — and you try to bring the two together.”

– Mitchell Kapor

As an Instructional Design Manager, I see instructional design as the foundation of any effective learning experience. While there are many definitions of what instructional design is, the most important takeaway is that it serves as the blueprint for meaningful and impactful learning.

For example, would you want to build a house without a set of plans? Of course not. The same principle applies to learning—why develop educational experiences or training without the expertise of an instructional designer, who brings the "plans" to build something purposeful and effective?

In this section of my portfolio, I showcase my leadership and hands-on experience in reviewing, designing, and developing intentional and impactful learning opportunities that empower learners and achieve instructional goals.
